The damage to [redacted]'s property was incurred by a contract (independent) Owner / Operator.  As such they carry their own insurance and are responsible for any and all damage they may incur during the course of their deliveries.  I forwarded all of the photos [redacted] sent me to this...

driver with instructions to make restitution immediately, either by check or by processing a claim through their insurance company.  I was under the impression that the matter had been resolved.  I have certainly NOT had a secretary "screening" my calls...I am in and out of the office on an irregular basis and can be difficult to reach sometimes, but I NEVER avoided anyone's phone calls.  We take these matters very seriously here at Total Truck Transport.Since the driver in question was apparently dragging his feet in affecting a settlement with [redacted], I arranged for a check to be cut in the amount requested ($305.00), and I personally drove it the 80 miles from our Herndon Va office and presented it to [redacted].  I have attached a signed acknowledgement for receipt of the check.We regret the damage to [redacted]'s property.  The driver in question no longer has a contract with TTT.  We have acted in good faith to resolve the situation as soon as it was clear that the driver was not going to do so.I would hope that these actions are sufficient to put this matter to rest.Sincerely,Steve K[redacted] - Safety, Security, & Compliance CoordinatorTotal Truck Transport Inc
