Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/08/16) */
We have sent the factory technician out to access the unit. We will be replacing the TXV valve because the factory technician said they were having problems with them.

consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The response from the Business was very quick and Professional, however I am still waiting for them to come back change out the part and see if this brings down the humidity level in the home.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 19, 2014/10/31) */
10/31/14: Mediator left message to return call.
11/12/14: I left message for mediator to return my call.
11/14/14: The business installed a part, but the humidity did not change. The A/C unit cools well, but the humidity is high causing us to sweat inside our home and we are concerned that mold could begin to grow from the moisture level. Based upon our research, we believe that the 3 ton A/C unit is too large for our 1,500 sq. ft. home. Instead, we should have been sold a 2.5 ton unit. We spent over $7,000 for the best and most efficient unit, but it is not working properly. We want the appropriate sized unit for our home or a refund. We are not interested in more repairs at this time.
11/21/14: Mediator left message to return call regarding response from business.
11/21/14: I understand that the business is willing to come to my home with a factory representative for the air conditioning unit to replicate the humidity problem, but we must wait until warmer weather.
2/6/15: Mediator left voice mail advising that the complaint will be closed at this time, but that the matter will be re-opened if the BUS has not scheduled a time with the factory rep to inspect the unit when the weather is warmer.
Final Business Response /* (1000, 20, 2014/10/31) */
11/14/14: We were unaware that the consumer was still experiencing problems. The last time we spoke to her, she said that the A/C unit was working fine. If there is a problem, we will do whatever it takes to fix it. We do not believe that the unit is too large for the consumer's home. It is a two-stage unit and is operating at the first stage for the size of the home. It is actually operating at a level less than their previous unit. We will need to wait until warmer weather in the spring/summer to test the unit and the humidity levels. We can bring a factory representative to the home to find out if it is working properly. If not, we will ask the manufacturer to replace the unit. We will call the consumer in the spring to schedule a time to test the unit.
