My Husband and I had called Top Line Home Solutions and Mr. Walters and his partner came out to give us an estimate on a new hot water heater. He quoted us 850.00 dollars to install and purchase the Hot water heater. After they installed the hot water heater his partner turned on the breaker to the hot water heater before filling it with water. Mr. Walters told his partner no, no,you are not suppose to turn on the breaker before the tank is full so I rushed in and turned the breaker off. We smelled something hot and asked Mr Walters was the heater gonna be ok and we asked several times and he said yeah its fine. Well it wasn't the bottom heating element was burned out. We called him and he gave us the run around. He said he called Rheem and told us that they said they had a bad batch of elements and they were gonna send out a part but he didn't call Rheem Because I called them and they told me if he had called he would had to register our hot water heater and it had not been registered until I called Rheem. Rheem also told me that they didn't have a bad batch of elements. He also told us he would be out that evening to replace the element and said to go ahead and drain the tank so we did and he never showed up and never called us or returned our calls.We are on city water and we drained out 40 gallons of water. We ended up buying a new element and repairing it ourselves.
