Toothtime Family Dentistry

This was my second time to visit this dentist office. I liked it the first time and so I decided to schedule for work to be done. They provided me a sheet via email with the work up of what needs to be done, it stated the cost of the procedure, what I’d be expected to pay and then what insurance will cover. So for my first visit I anticipated only paying $53.11 and instead after my procedure was done I go upfront to pay and the office manager lets me know my total today will be $203.11 and stunned I asked why? And she informed that the type of filling they used was a special type and it cost $50 a tooth, I had three filled. I paid the cost but I was pretty upset to be blindsided like that because before the procedure the dentist mentioned that the cavity in one tooth was kind of deep and if I felt pain to raise my left hand but I was never informed that they’d be using a filling that cost $50 per tooth. I let the office manager know this and she tells me “well you can opt out of them using that next time.” And I just walked out. That was poor customer service on their part and now I’m debating on taking my insurance and what work I need elsewhere.
