this customer was given a price for smaller cuts of plexiglass that were under the 8 foot standard length. She then called with sizes larger than 8 foot, I think 105 inches, she was told at that time that it would be a special order and would be longer wait and more money and she said she didnt care because she needed it. one the plexi got here she was called to make sure she wanted it in the long lengths or we could make them in two pieces and use the 8 foot sheets and we could send the special order plexi back, she wanted it in the long size so it was cut that way and she sent someone to pick it up. We never told the gentleman it was too late that we had already ran the card we just explained to him the reason it was so expensive and it was a special order. He paid the bill and left the store more irritated at the woman who ordered it because sh said it would have alright to have been cut in two. Also when the customer was called and told the plexi was ready she was told the price and she just said that she would send someone down to pick it up. The customer knew that the long length, 105 inches, would not be standard stock length. A standard sheet is 4 foot by 8 foot. Special order items like this cost considerably more and take longer to get.
