A replacement water heater was installed as new. However, there is a large, curved dent on the bottom front near the open area which gives access to the gas burner and pilot. Without the manifold cover on, one can see there is damage to the bottom, both inside and out. The owner returned to assess the damage. A follow up letter reassures us that the warranty still stands. However, we still have some concern that there is more damage that can't be seen on a heater that was purchased as new.
