I took my children to their annual pumpkin patch on South Virginia St. on Halloween day. We got there shortly after they opened at 10am. They way they have it set up is they have several attractions, rides, bounce houses, etc. for children to do but each one requires a certain number of tickets which are purchased at the front to the tune of about a dollar a ticket. You cannot go in to view such attractions until you pay for tickets. I purchased the 22 tickets for $20 and proceeded in. First off, there are many things that require tickets and only a couple people wandering around aimlessly to take your tickets. You have to go find them, which is frustrating when you have small children. As we walked in further the first thing I noticed is how filthy this place is. I could not even believe it. Trash everywhere, broken rusty toys, so many dirty socks that I stopped counting....an absolute mess. When we couldn't find anyone to take tickets, my 4-year old son ran in to go jump on one of the bounce houses and he gets off and tells me its socked with dirty water inside. Next to that was what really made my blood boil...A large hay bail pile kids could climb on with a large inflated pumpkin on top. To the side of that was a slide of sorts that landed you on the side of another bounce house, however, these kids were landing on the most filty, digusting, holey mattress I have ever seen. How can that be safe for our kids in this community to be jumping on? My 4-year old son looked at me and says, "Mom, let's go home, this place is gross." You know things are bad when your young child is asking you to take him home! At this point I was beyond angry so I marched to the front and asked the gentlemen who took my $20 about the rides being wet and his response was, "That's the way it is, come back in an hour." I told him that wasn't a very good attitude to have in front of kids. I left to not further argue in front of my kids. They did have a no refunds sign posted, but this is unacceptable.Product_Or_Service: Pumpkin Patch EntranceDesired SettlementI want a refund, period. I respect no refund policies but only when you can utilize what you paid for and in this case, my children could not under good health or safety utilize anything at this pumpkin patch. I can provide the tickets I was given as I kept them, but I want my $20 back, immediately an apology, for them to have a talking to by the health department and that mattress discarded!!! I know the event is over, but they need some help for next year.
