I went to this provider for Botox services in my forehead. The doctor gave me 32 units of Botox for a price of $10 per unit. The office manager confirmed this amount. However, I realized later that my credit card was charged for $1320 instead of $320. I made several attempts to have them correct this; however, the doctor tried to offer me touch up services instead of a refund. He now refuses to return my calls or emails.
This email is in regards to a complaint filed by ***, requesting a refund for services. Patient states that she was overcharged. Attached are documents showing that she signed the charge sheet and knew how much she would be paying and that was the amount charged to her card. She has never stated that she was unhappy with services. Also please note that services were provided on 8/8/2018 and she did not return to the office for a follow up as well as she did not put in this request for a refund until 12/27/2019, over a year later. The original request was received by *** by a phone call and both Dr. E and Melissa, the Office Manager, reviewed the services and have deemed charges are correct. *** was offered an appointment, free of charge, to come in and discuss the issue, however she has never made an attempt to schedule. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact the office at *** and ask for Hillary P Thank You,Melissa *** M, MAAOffice ManagerToftrees Family Medicine
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have consulted my current provider and an attorney who confirm this is an overcharge. The office manager confirmed in my initial call that I received 32 units of botox at $10 a unit for a charge of $320. She acknowledged the charge was incorrect and told me that she would talk with the doctor to correct. The doctor then called me and offered free services instead of refunding my money. My current provider worked with Dr. E in the past and stated he clearly made a mistake. I spoke to three botox doctors, who said you would never give a patient 132 units of botox unless treating for migraines. I have never paid over $400 since receiving the same service at other providers. I have been trying for the past year to get a refund for the different and the credit card number for this charge. The office worker states they will call me back with the information and they never do. After researching, I found this doctor was in trouble before for poor practices. I simply want a refund for the difference that I should have been charged.
