I purchased a 2002 jeep liberty on 5/26/2020 in less than 24 hours went back to carlot because the dealer misrepresented said vehicle after taking to personal mechanic the next morning which was less than 24 hrs was informed I was lied to about vehicle dealer than said he couldn't do anything for me the cost of the repair will exceed the total cost of the 2002 vehicle and dealer knew it was a bad motor when he sold it to me and dealer lied.
The customer purchased a 2002 Jeep Liberty on 5/26/2020. She test drove multiple vehicles that day but decided the Jeep fit her lifestyle and financial needs the best. After test driving the Jeep, the customer left to get a quote for insurance. Later the same day, she returned to our dealership, having already placed insurance on the Jeep and chose to purchase the 2002 Jeep Liberty. The customer agreed to a purchase price of $3,490.00 (not including DMV fees of $374.50). Not the $34,900.00 as the customer has incorrectly stated in their complaint. The customer put a $1,000.00 down payment on the Jeep, leaving her remaining financed amount as $2,864.50. The next day on 5/27/2020 the customer came back into the dealership and stated the Jeep was going to blow up. The sales person who spoke with her asked for more information and why she thought this. She gave him a card that had the name “Doug” on it and a phone number. He called the phone number on the card, advised that he was calling from Titan Auto Group about the Jeep. All the person who said his name was Doug would say was the Jeep was a piece of junk and the motor would blow. When asked for more specific information, he couldn’t or wouldn’t provide it. When asked for a invoice, work order, some sort of documentation showing a diagnostic work-up or even what shop he worked for, the person on the phone wouldn’t provide anything and would only state he “only does work for special people”. The sales person thanked “Doug” for speaking with him and hung up the call and advised the customer we would need some sort of documentation advising what was wrong with the Jeep. At that time the manager came out to speak with the customer and tried to tell her that we have a vested interest in her having a good running vehicle not only because we value our good name, but we also are the bank for her loan. But before he could even finish the words “we have...” , the customer cut him off and started cussing and screaming at him in front of her young child. At this point, the manger told the customer if she continued to cuss and scream he would not be able to continue the conversation at this time. She continued cussing and screaming in front of her young child and he excused himself from the conversation and told the customer to come back and talk to him when she could calm down. The manager went inside the dealership and the customer went and sat in the Jeep for about 15 minutes and then drove out of the parking lot and left. Since that time, we have not had any other contact with the customer, nor has she ever supplied us with the requested work order, invoice or diagnostic work-up outlining any problems or issues with the 2002 Jeep.
