I went to Tire Star in Kendallville on February 5, 2020 to find out what was causing my check engine light. they told me that they would investigate and give me an estimate of how much it woukd cost. After 4 hours they sent me a message of what was wrong and that they had done some work on it which they never asked me if that was ok. I'm not to car expert but I'm pretty sure it does not take 4 hours ($129 in labor) to scan the engine and see what was wrong. I went to pick up my car and they told me they had disconnected my back up camera which made me very upset since my grandpa had put it in as a Christmas present. They were not given permission to do so also. Being a 17 year old girl I have experienced being taken advantage of before when it comes to cars and I feel that they took advantage of today. And to top it off my grandpa was so mad at what they had done and charged me for it he went in there and told them that they needed to turn on my camera again, and they did. I feel that I should not have had to pay the large sum amount of money I did just for a simple mistake they could have avoided by asking for my consent to have the car worked on, and that they basically did nothing for me since the camera was turned back on. I am a college student and money is tight right now and this was just another set back for me and I will feel the effects of the $140.59 gone in my bank account. They were to give me an estimate cost of the issue and failed to do so.

best to quote you a price upfront and it appears like we dropped the ball. We
would be willing to refund $100, as we strive for customer satisfaction and
