I hired [redacted] to do a remodel job in a small bathroom. To start off, he offered me a discount if I paid in cash which I accepted. Half way through the project he reneged on the offer saying putting in a ceiling fan (my purchase) raised the original cost, so he denied the discount. I mentioned the fan right away to keep within code, since the window was being blocked out. Didn't seem to matter.
Work days averaged 4-5 hours when he did show up. He had family issues a lot of the times and cancelled or was late. The last text I got from him said he had the flu and had to put me back. That was the last time I heard from him. My basement still gets wet every time I take a shower.
In the time he spent working, my siding was damaged, screen smashed, bathtub chipped, kitchen floor linoleum cut, bathroom floor squeaks, light fixture is not flush to the wall and the plaster job on the walls does not look professional at all. Months later he finally got the screen and siding repaired. I took it on myself to get the chip fixed and flooring repaired or it still be damaged.
There were just too many issues with this experience and hope nobody would have to go through what I did. By far the worst experience yet of many updates I have made on my house. Never again!
