To Whom it May Concern: I recently received a letter from the Revdex.com.  The letter was addressed to Arlinda W[redacted] who no longer works at the hospital.  I assume this may be why the first letter was not received which was noted to have been sent to the hospital on...

1/22/17.  The second letter which I received was dated February 3, 2017.  The complaint was assigned ID [redacted].  The letter attached was from [redacted] who delivered a baby at Timpanogos Regional Hospital on 4/19/16 and was discharged on 4/21/16.  The letter from the Revdex.com was the first notification that we have on file that the patient had concerns about the care she received.  I have reviewed the patient’s medical record and it appears she did have a postpartum hemorrhage and fever.  The letter did not indicate which day the patient wanted to go home, but staying two days is not an unusual length of stay.  I have asked the Women’s Services Director to investigate the patient’s concerns of un unclean room and resulting odor in the room.  I have also asked the Women’s Services Director to council the staff who cared for the patient specifically about room cleanliness, checking on patients, and appropriate communication.  Generally staff do an exceptional job with all patient care expectations.  However, we do feel all patient concerns are valid and we do share patient feedback with staff so we can make care improvements that meet the needs of our patient populations.  We will be contacting the patient and try to resolve issues she has with the outstanding bill.  Thank you for sharing these concerns with us, Sincerely, Paula S[redacted]Director QualityTimpanogos Regional Hospital
