Review: The company contacted me to sell my [redacted] timeshare. They told me they had a buyer for my timeshare & for a fee, they would sell it & send me the money.Desired Settlement: Refund my money

Review: Sale representative called me in March of 2010 stated that he had a buyer for my timeshare located in [redacted]. He asked me was I still interested in selling it. I asked him how he knew that I had a timeshare. He said the company he works for get timeshare owner's information from the courthouse and that this was a creditable business and that the company sells timeshares. he asked me for a payment of $1,450.00 and I told him that I have been taken once by another company wanting money upfront to sell my timeshare. he assured me that the company he works for makes good on their commitment. He refused to tell me who was the buyer. I had to think about and the next day a lady from [redacted] called and said the company was legitimate and was I'm ready to close the sale. I gave her $1,450.00 via bank check. She then forward me papers after paper to have notaried and signed. The company was/is a scam and people need to file a law suit against the company and the owner to get our money back. That type of money is too much to just give away. .Desired Settlement: I would like to get my money back and hope the owner goes to jail for fraud.
