Tileco Distributors

On May 9th, 2018, I placed an order for A01THEMAR 1/2X11- 5/8 PENCIL POLCREMA tile with L *** of Tileco Distributors *** Street Suite B, Ventura, CA, for which I paid $636.22. On the receipt, in bold at the bottom it reads, NO RETURNS/ NO EXCHANGES. A fact I was not made aware of until after the purchase. My contractor J *** does business with Tileco “all the time”, and he had directed me to go there. After I had picked up the tile and showed it to Jorge, he told me that I ordered the wrong tile. He also told me that he would help facilitate a return on my behalf since he has a working relationship with the staff at Tileco. I called Jorge on May, 21 at 1:21 in the afternoon, and he happened to be at Tileco speaking to R (manager). During our three way conversation, R stated he would get an authorization for return from the company that sold the tile. On May 23 at 10:35 I called Tileco and was told R was not in yet, but for me to leave a message and they would “pass it on”. On May 24 at 10:00, I called Tileco with similar results. On May 29 at 11:49, I called Tileco with similar results. On May 30, I went to Tileco with my box of tile and spoke to Lauren. I asked to see R, but he was in a meeting. I explained my situation to Lauren, and she suggested I leave the tile with them, which I did. On May 30 at 10:14, I called Tileco and was told R was not available. On June 4 at 4:09, I called Tileco with similar results. And on June 6, at 3:46, I called Tileco with similar results.
