team at [redacted]
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This does not address the fact that they failed to mention/disclose any issues or observances from the inspection. The mechanics where I had the repairs done stated that any recent inspection would have caught the issues listed below, instead Northland failed to disclose any of these and resulted in break failure and other repairs within 15 days and under 300 miles of purchase. In addition to the initial complaint other issues were found when I took the vehicle to the mechanics, these consisted of - a rusted-out break-line, leading to a replaced break-line and Master Cylinder (cause of the break failure), Steering and suspension: F/R Link Pins and all Ball Joints required replacement, and the Idler and Pitman Arm need replacement. Services were NOT done by the Northland dealership. The vehicle has been repaired (by other local mechanics). I would (and will not in the future) take the vehicle to Northland Chevy, as it was their service dept. that had done the initial checks. Therefore I could not trust them to do a quality job in the repairs sought. In addition to the vehicle issues, at the onset of this all I had sent them a notice of the issues, receiving no replies or attempts to contact me concerning these in over 24 hours. It took me calling after this period to finally get a reply in which they said that repairs were on me and that I should expect issues with used vehicles. I do consider this case closed and am just going to take the losses. I am not satisfied with the response or the customer service of Northland Chevy.
Regards,

Northland Chevrolet disclosed on both the buyers guide and relationship after the sale form, that there would be no warranty provided and the vehicle was sold as is. Many vehicles that are nearly 20 years old and have in excess of 130,000 miles will have less than perfect components, yet does...
not make them unsafe or undesirable vehicles. Every vehicle is inspected and cleaned before being placed for sale however no warranty was offered by Northland Chevrolet, and in fact, we clearly expressed the vehicle had no warranty to Mr. Murtha and was being sold as-is. Unfortunately vehicles need repair and sometimes unpredictably, so we offered to discount services to him on the repairs he mentioned. We would be happy to assist him with discounted services but believe we properly explained that no warranty on any parts of any kind would be offered on the vehicle and it was sold as-is.*
