Ticketmaster Corporation Reviews (27)

Ticketmaster is an absolute scam. I have attempted on numerous occasions to purchase concert tickets through their web site and have never been able to get one seat when the tickets initially go on sale. Yet immediately, countless tikets are available on third party reseller web sites and the ticket master exchange at hugely inflated prices, more than 2-5 times the face value of the tickets. My most recent experience is with attempting to purchase tickets to the Elton John concert in Fort Myers, FL on March 9, 2016. I was part of a presale where members of the fan club were supposed to have access to tickets 2 days prior to them going on sale to the general public. However at 10:00 am (9:59 to be exact) ticketmaster's web site continually said that no tickets were available. How are no tickets available if this is the earliest presale available? How does a concert sell out prior to tickets being made available to purchase? Yet, amazingly, tickets were available IMMEDIATELY on third party reseller web sites as well as the ticket master exchange for inflated prices. In fact, they were available on these web sites the DAY BEFORE the presale started! How are specific tickets available for resale when not one ticket was supposed to have been sold yet? If ticketmaster I not in collusion with these third party web sites and resellers then where do these tickets come from to be resold?
It is my strong assertion that Ticketmaster is in collusion with sites such as Stubhub.com and other third party resellers. They are in clear violation of US antitrust laws, and guilty of false advertisement, bait and switch, and other illegal sales and marketing tactics. I would like these matters investigated and I would like to be able to purchase tickets to events in a fail, legal, open market where everyone has the equal opportunity to purchase tickets at face value the way that it is falsely advertised to be b Ticketmaster. For the record(verifcation purposes), I am a ticketmaster customer and have purchased tickets for various events over the years from TM. Sadly however, I was unable to purchase tickets to the event in question or a variety of other popular events.

Ticketmaster uses a 3rd party for refund insurance and they both make it difficult to get a refund. When you select the refund insurance it does not tell you that it is a 3rd party until you need a refund. ticketmaster will not support it even though they provide it on their website without giving warning when you click on it.

On January 1, 2016, I tried to purchase a parking pass [redacted] the Washington Redskins vs. Dallas Cowboys game. My card was charged $81.20 but I did not receive a parking pass [redacted] a system error occurred. When I reported the problem to Ticketmaster on January 2, 2016, I was advised by a supervisor that a refund had already been issued back to my card. On January 7, 2016, I called Ticketmaster again to let them know that I still had not received my refund back to my card. I was told to give it another day. Well today is January 12th. I still have not received my refund. This Friday will make 2 weeks and it SHOULD NOT take that long IF it had truly been refunded on the date that I was told. All I want from TicketMaster is my $81.20 that it charged my card and they will never have to worry about me doing business with them EVER AGAIN!!!

In November, 2016, I attempted to purchase two tickets for a Washington Capitals Hockey regular season game using Ticketmaster's Resale system. I selected a pair of tickets, entered my checkout (new credit card) information, and clicked Submit (all purchases final). After the order processed, I was left with a pair of tickets that were in a different row and seat numbers than what I agreed to purchase through the resale system. I promptly contacted customer support and was told that I could re-sell those seats and try their system again for the seats I originally thought I was purchasing. I then contacted my credit card company for a reversal on the charge, which was initially honored, but eventually denied because of a ten-page letter that the SYSTEM (Ticketmaster) was able to produce against a single consumer. I will go out of my way to purchase tickets for events outside the Ticketmaster system from other resale website or directly from the venues that insist on using this business that does not have their customers' best interests and happiness in mind.

I recently purchased tickets from Ticketmaster and immediatelyHave questions about my purchase the next day April 23rd to inquire more information I was told at this time than what I purchased was what I thought I purchased a VIP full package seats backstage all inclusive on July 2nd the day of the concert this is not what I am fact purchased I spoke with that they said they would reach in 3 hours I never heard back that day went to the concert and called the next day they told me the process can take up to 72 hours and would call me back I called back the next week they then told me what I purchased was only first a box premium seats and there was nothing more they could do I told them I spoke with someone on the 23rd who informed me otherwise they apologized and said they would launch an investigation a week later they admitted to making a mistake and told me they could offer me a 50 dollar refund for what costed me five hundred sixty five hundred ninety four dollars for two tickets

Negative - This company brings hidden fees to a new level. Order $30 tickets and at check out you find out that you paid $46. After paying you find out about the $3.50 facility charge per ticket, the incredible $12.50 ticketmaster fee PER TICKET, the overall transaction charge of $3.50 and they have the audacity to offer printing your own tickets for "free". What a service! They are flat out crooks.

Went to purchase tickets with a presale code. Logged on EXACTLY when they went on sale as I knew the show would sell out, and it was the only thing my wife asked for for her birthday. Got through the entire process and submitted my payment. Received an error message "Internal processing error, please try again". Meanwhile, the ticket release clock continued to count down. Attempted 4 more times with difference credit cards, but kept getting the same error message. Finally time expired, the tickets were released and I was sent back to the find tickets screen. Sold out. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me.

I called their customer service and they basically told me to go cry somewhere else- their servers get really busy when tickets go on sale and they get a lot of processing errors due to volume. The are a $7 billion company and yet they can't afford the server capacity and don't have the foresight to add resources when tickets go on sale. I don't have tickets, but the tickets I was attempting to purchase were immediately available on [redacted] marked up 60%-500%.

Real music fans can't get tickets to shows because of Ticketmaster's monopoly, incompetence and greed while scalpers can continue to suck dollars out of people's wallets.
