This past weekend, Oct.9 and 10, we booked a room at this hotel on a website called "[redacted]". The booking went well although we were charged US exchange. The website misrepresented the hotel saying that it was clean and well kept, showed pictures of beautiful looking pet friendly rooms. On arrival; we discovered it was not clean nor beautiful nor was it completely pet friendly. The room was dirty, floors had not been swept nor washed since the last guests. However the bedding was clean as was the sink and toilet. But that is where the cleanliness ended. Overall the whole property was poorly maintained even the grounds were dirty with dog excrement in the parking lot and hypodermic needles in the back alley where you walk your dog. [redacted]. [redacted]Desired SettlementA refund for at least the amount of the US exchange that was inappropriate since the booking was done from CANADA. Failing that a refund of at least part of one night's stay. [redacted] Business Response With the internet allowing multiple options of booking abilities it is definately a buyer beware approach and always suggest calling the hotel directly or booking from the actual brand website. Online travel agencies are 3rd party marketing([redacted])which operates a number of different booking channels, some that operate in the US currency, some thate operate in CDN currency, and some that operate pay on delivery. We can not pay the exchange rate as it was not booked directly. we will offer you a redeeming credit for $15 to be used on future stays. We do encourage you to notify the desk quickly upon check in if there are any problems with your room instead of waiting to inform Revdex.com or any other website.
