I took my car in to get body repair because it was dented on the side due to someone backing into it. My car was also not driving correctly after the incident so I told the adjuster and the repair shop. When I got my car back, it had water damage inside, which caused my car to smell of mildew and grow mold. My cars alignment was completely off, my drivers seat was broken off its track, and I had a bill of $190, which I should not have received because it was going through the other party’s insurance. When I addressed these problems to the owner of the body shop, he threatened to beat up my boyfriend, cussed both my boyfriend out and did not take blame for anything. I ended up paying the bill and cutting my loses because he threatened us and I was terrified he was going to do something horrible.
In response to ***'s complaint:Customer came in for estimate for small dent in the left rear door. Car was hit while parked. No one was in car.We prepared estimate to repair and paint dent. Customer also said airbag light turned on after wreck and cardidn't drive the same. I asked if car was pushed into curb and she said no. I told her accident should not haveturned on airbag lights or affected wheel alignment driving. I told customer I would have checked out. We painted and repaired caras per estimate. This was covered by insurance. I also checked out airbag light and sent out for diagnostics. Her insurance deniedclaim to fix airbag light. This accident would not affect airbag light. We found air bag light was cut. Customer admitted boyfriend cut wire because something was stuck with the lap seatbelt. Customer also complained water damage had occurred and of mold and mildew smell after she picked up car. The inside of customer's car was filthy when brought for repairs and we cleaned before releasing to customer. Car was dry and clean when customer picked up. We checked mold and mildew smell and water for customer and found the car had previous repairs and there was caulking all around trunk. We spent time looking for leak and the mold and mildew smell which was not part of accident. This is where water was leaking. Again, this had nothing to do with car being lightly hit while parked. Also, customer complained about alignment being off. I checked this for customer and told her front tires were completely bald and needed a wheel alignment. Again, this was not caused from accident and will not be covered by insurance. Customer said she didn't have the money for two new tires and alignment. I told boyfriend it is dangerous to drive car with tires like this and should have noticed this and should have taken care of. I got impression he didn't like me implying was his fault. I did not under any circumstance threated to beat up boyfriend. I went above and beyond to find two used tires for customer and had alignment done. The estimate was $190. She said ok. I discounted for her to $146.15 because she said she didn't have the money. Again, was not part of accident and is reason her insurance did not pay and she had to. I did the best I could to accommodate customer. In regards to drivers seat broken off its track customer complained after picking up car. We inspected this for customerand found the track is bent. Again, this had nothing to do with car accident being hit in rear door while parked. Upon ourpaint and repair for small dent in left rear door driver seat was NOT touched, nor did we cause track to be bent. Again, Iwent above and beyond to accommodate this customer.
I am adding the receipt for the tires and wheels for *** for $146.15. This is what she paid for used tiresand wheel alignment after discounting three times to accommodate customer. The original price was $191.75, thendiscounted to $161.75. Then gave new invoice of even lower price of $146.15 paid 1/23/20. She did not pay $190 as stated in her complaint.
I am rejecting this response because: all of that was a complete lie to the point of being hysterical. We have told him from the beginning that the air back had nothing to do with the accident. But he insisted that it did because he wanted to turn it into the insurance for more money. He NEVER asked me if my car was pushed into the curb, his main concern was to get more money from the insurance than to actually fix my car. My car was not dirty, I actually had to put scented beads all over my car floors because of how bad my car stunk of mildew WHEN I RECEIVED MY CAR BACK FROM the body shop. The damages to my car speak for themselves because I’m still driving around with the damages. It would also back my truth about this just by seeing the car.
