Third Place Coffeehouse

I hate when things like this happen. " Being treated like you dont belong because you are black"
So this morning I wanted to try something new so I stopped by Third Place Coffee Shop in Raleigh, NC I was the only "chocolate" person in there and that's cool because I have a lot of vanilla friends. But something that disturbed me .. after ordering 2 coffees and a bagel. The guy who was fixing the bagel tossed the bag across the counter. The cashier looked at him perplexed ( but said nothing) and the other customers stared at me .. I politely walked out and said thank you. After getting settled in at work I called back and spoke with the cashier ( who witnessed what happened) He let me know he was sorry it happened but they were busy and he didnt have time to "deal" with it. I exclaimed I understood and asked to speak to a manager. He again said I really dont have time for this... I said, if I asked the [redacted] ( local news paper) to help with your time would that be better. He then HUNG up the PHONE on me.... now most days this is NOT ok but today it's really NOT ok. If you are only willing to treat certain customers with respect maybe you should put a sign outside your window that says White's only.
