I needed to have a medical procedure in which I would be sedated. *** hospital requires all patients that are sedated to be escorted home after a procedure by an adult. I could not find anyone available on the date of my procedure. *** hospital recommended, THERE4U, a medical companion company. As part of the services, it was my understanding that I would be escorted to my door. That did not happen!
I was picked up from the hospital by Anten K. We drove to my apartment and rather than walking me to my door. Mr. K remained in his vehicle and requested that I complete payment by giving him a check. I had to go upstairs and get my checkbook. At this I was still feeling the affects of the sedation. I came back downstairs, got back in the car, completed the check and Mr. K drove off. This interaction has troubled me for the last six months. I found Mr. K to be discourteous and lack compassion. Since I was under sedation he had a responsibility to make sure I got to my apartment safely. Fortunately, nothing happened to me but I feel I am owed a refund because Mr. K did not follow his company's procedures and *** hospital's policy.
