Review: I purchased a sweater at the Theory outlet store in [redacted] on Feburary *, 2014 for $185.30, after wearing the sweater once it began to shed profusely large black wool fibers. I was having lunch with a friend while wearing it and the fibers from the sweater were in my food, my mouth and on my face. When I arrived home I had fibers from the sweater all over my clothing and in my car. On the sides of the sweater where the sleeves touch the body there were large [redacted] of black wool fibers that had formed from I assume normal arm movements.

I called the store and told them this had happened, and that this was not acceptable, and that I would be returning the item. I asked that my credit card be credited the amount of the purchase and was told that they could not do that, they could only issue an in store credit. I told them that was not acceptable because the sweater was clearly defective and unwearable. I mailed the sweater to them because the store is quite a distance from my home. It arrived within the required 14 day time limit and a gift card was mailed to me.

I have spoken with the [redacted], and two different people in customer service concerning this matter. I have also spoken to customer service at American Express and had a hold placed on the charge on my credit card.

The people I have spoken to in customer service at Theory have told me that it is up to the [redacted]s discretion at the store where I purchased the sweater how they want to handle this.Desired Settlement: I think that someone at Theory's headquarters needs to look into this matter and tell the [redacted] at the [redacted] store to credit my credit card for the $185.30.
