The Wimbledon Condominiums

My property (the Wimbledon Condominiums) was without any running water for over 40 hours. We were not given any form of correspondence whatsoever from the property manager in regards to this outage. Not a single note, email, or phone call. No notice, no updates, and no temporary water sources or sanitary accommodations.

During our 40+ hours without running water, in addition to not receiving any communication, we were also not provided with any temporary water sources (e.g., drinking water, water for cooking/cleaning) whatsoever. We were not provided a single bottle of water or even hand sanitizer, despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The only form of temporary sanitation provided to us was the placement of four, very close-quartered portable toilets in the middle of the parking lot. Four portable toilets for over 200 residents.

The property management was unresponsive and fielding calls during the outage. When you did reach them, they kept providing excuses for why the water was out, such as "It's a city issue." The city confirmed this was dishonest, and that the outage was a fully private matter and not within the city's jurisdiction.

The property management acted unprofessionally and unethically in response to this spontaneous outage, resulting in non-compliant COVID-19 standards and protocols and jeopardization of resident safety and health.
