Apparently this organization manages the program that refunds auto warranty monies that go unused. Mine happens to have been with Toyota. The process is supposed to take 30 days. I started in November and got notification Feb 15 that my check was sent to the dealership. The dealership! Seems that they did what they could to delay and make this as convenient as possible. Never again.
I was denied my warranty buyback because Sterling said I need to submit my claim within 90 days of contract expiration, my contract has not expired
I submitted paperwork for a warranty buyback in August. My warranty expires 11/8/19 and has not been used. Sterling denied my claim stating that the request was not received within 90 days of the contract expiration, which clearly it was since the warranty has not expired yet.
I would like for them to buy back my warranty and refund my money like they are supposed to
The customer advised in her email dated 8/20/2019 that she had been trying to get this processed since April. Unfortunately, we did not receive any notification or the required paperwork until August.
Please refer to the Terms, Conditions, Exclusions, and Request for Benefits located on the back of the Dealer Vehicle Service Contract Buy Back Agreement the customer signed. Please note the following under Terms:
The "Term of VSC" starts from inception date depending on the terms of Your Vehicle Service Contract. At the conclusion of this period, Your Vehicle Service Contract has expired.
"Mileage Term of VSC" is the number of miles Your Vehicle Service Contract continues through, starting from either zero (0) miles, or in addition to Your Vehicle's current mileage at date of purchase, depending on the terms of Your Vehicle Service Contract. Your Vehicle Service Contract will expire when Your Vehicle has accumulated this number of miles.
Please note the following under Conditions:
5. Only valid if request for benefits is received within 90 days of Vehicle Service Contract expiration.

All claim information must be submitted to the administrator at the address below within 90 days of the termination date of the Vehicle Service Contract.

I had been trying to find out where to submit the paperwork since April. If you look on the vehicle service contract buyback that was submitted with the paperwork, it clearly states that the the expiration date is 11/8/19 (it hasn't expired yet). *** cannot be reached, please send this to another adjudicator since my agreement is with Sterling and I have met all of the requirements.
