Review: On 5/9/2010 at 3:45pm, I dropped off a heavy box at UPS of about 50lbs. I am a freight forwarder for Amazon.com. This delivery was for Amazon.com. There were two workers present: a young man and young woman. The young woman (tall, brunette) refused to attend to my needs and was even extremely belligerent. She forced me to lift a heavy 50lbs package (despite my attempts to ask for help) onto the scale. I was involved in a 10 car pile up and should not be lifting heavy objects. The female worker refused to help. I placed the item on the scale, and she complained that the scale might have broken. She paid no attention to the customer's needs. In order speak to the manager about her attitude, I asked her name. She told me that she refused to give me her name. Additionally, she said that her boss would not "give a sh**" about her behavior. She then told me to leave. I then called the police and filed a report to get my package back from the UPS site, but the package was already forwarded to the San Marcos location before it could be retrieved by the authorities. I believe this young lady will realize that when you throw a customer out of the store, the authorities show up. Additionally, I am sure UPS does indeed allocate significant corporate resources toward workers who do demonstrate GOOD customer service.Desired Settlement: I want a written and verbal apology from the young woman who worked on 5/9/2010 at 3:45pm in front of her boss and in my presence. I hope she obtains an attitude of service toward customers at UPS with heavy boxes and to never swear when someone asks for help. I want the supervisor to send me a written explanation regarding the woman's employment status after said complaint was forwarded to the UPS HeadQuarters for further consideration.
