The Three Graces website experience an error on the website where an article of jewelry worth $645 was listed at $1 at 4:00 am CT on 1/16/15. A visitor kindly even reported to us via email the error at 4:42 am. At 4:52 the [redacted] purchased the ring for $1. Nothing on our website...

is priced at this time lower than $275 of which we have one item, 6 items are listed below $400 and our average item price is $2100 (we have over 500 items listed at this time).  The price of $1 was clearly an error. At 5:35 am we emailed Ms. [redacted], refunded her $1 (she paid via PayPal online). For her trouble, we offered her 10% of any future purchase which is something we rarely offer. If discounts are offered (which they are not often extended) even to our best clients, it usually averages 5%.In checking the law, it is clear that when a price is obviously in error as this was, (even a visitor reported the error to us and we can forward to you that email) then any business has the right to correct the gross error. We acknowledged her frustration and disappointment, apologized, explained the situation, and again offered her a larger discount than usual for the inconvenience.
