I called to order a gift certificate for my Sister's birthday (I called on Thursday and told them that her birthday was on Monday). I paid for a gift certificate for $50. It did not arrive by Monday. On Tuesday I called to ask what had happened. The man ([redacted]) apologized and told me that to make up for the error he would increase the certificate to $60 and that he would also include dessert. Two days later the order had not been charged and so I called back to ask what had happened. As it turned out, he had not written down the card number correctly. That evening I posted a review on [redacted] in which I indicated that I would not use the restaurant again in the future. Today the owner called me and made several harassing remarks. I attempted to have a professional conversation with him, but that proved impossible.Product_Or_Service: Gift CertitifcateDesired SettlementI would like for my sister to have a fond memory of her birthday rather than the disappointing one that she had at the restaurant. And so I ask for a refund to allow her to go to some other restaurant in the area for a meal to celebrate her birthday. I also want to make sure that the owner never attempts to contact me again!Business Response I ran the card and it did not work, so I call him and found I had written it down wrong. I do not recall telling him I would increase the amount from $50 to $60 and told him we always offer a free dessert for birthdays. I recall his sister and her family came in and almost immediately I realized they did not like the menu (pricing or not familiar with the style of food). They did not "warm up" to the experience, we offered dessert, nobody wanted any. They told the waitress they wanted $60 off the bill, they were informed it was $50, more frowns and they left. I was reading Trip Advisor and saw his post, it was nasty and he publicly call me incompetent, THAT is why I call him AND ASKED WHY HE WROTE SUCH A NASTY REVIEW. He started to get angry and cut me off and called ma a liar. He said he never wanted to hear from me again and I told the feeling was mutual. I forgot about it until I got your letter.
