Complaint[redacted]The Star Phoenix took it upon themselves to destroy my flyers, which they had to keep so I can advertise with them. They won't refund me the cost of the flyers of $1,500. Their decision to destroy them was carried out without trying to contact me to ask me to go get them or my consent to destroy them. I was calling them to use them to distribute the flyers as I had previously done. [redacted]Desired SettlementRefund of $1500 to reproduce them.Business Response I'm confident we will reach an understanding regarding your flyers. We received these flyers 3 years ago and last distributed them approximately 2 years ago. With the volume of our business we simply do not have the space to store inactive inventory for that length of time. Attempts to make contact to have someone come pick up the product were unsuccessful resulting in the inventory being recycled. We will not reimburse you for the cost of reprinting your flyers however as a gesture of goodwill we will make available to you a full page, full color ad In [redacted]. Included will be a free consultation to build the creative and 1 proof to make changes. The ad will need to be booked by July 31, 2015 and run inside [redacted] no later than August 31, 2015. This package has a retail value of $2,348 and [redacted] reaches 90,000 household weekly. I trust you will find this arrangement agreeable and we look forward to continuing our business relationship.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)It is satisfactory and addresses our concern about the the quality of service of the Star Phoenix and reinstates our confidence in the competence of its management. This is fair compensation for our financial and moral loss.
