Started out finethen they hand over any life insurance pay-outs to another company who has crap customer service and rude agents which in turn pro-longs the process of actually getting any life insurance moneyi feel like they are supposed to be there to help and they end up yanking you around when you're already in a fragile state

I have a long term disability policy with the Stand Insurance Co. I have had poor customer service the whole time. They surprise you with deadlines to get stuff turned in, rude, and do not explain your policy. You have to have a legal degree to read and understand your policy. I was awarded SS Disability and they are trying to take away most of my lump sum. I and my family have had financially difficulty sinceI could not work. I paid into the LTD policy and Social Security. The money is mine not the Standard's. I resent this company. They are thieves and liars. I highly recommend not having dealings with this company.
