The School of Court Reporting

Review: Throughout my nearly 3 years at this "institution," I was constantly being sent emails that classes were cancelled, my program was terminated, my teachers had quit, the campus had moved. There was no consistency, no education delivered for more than 2 months at a time, no structure. I was promised I would not have to pay for the first term, as the entire staff quit suddenly and I was unable to attend class for almost 6 months until the owner could find replacements. Eventually the owner signed on her friend to 'teach us,' despite the fact that this friend did not even know the Theory of court reporting we had been learning. She was unable to answer any questions or provide any form of education. For the last year I attended this "school," I was told by the owner to use a website to learn from and nothing else. After the campus was moved for the third time, I was informed there would be no more onsite learning and everything would be done via the Internet. This was not the service I signed on for. I am now receiving invoices almost a year after I stopped attending for thousands of dollars, when I walked away from this school with NOTHING but a headache. The owner even tried to convince me she had never received any financial aid money from me, despite the fact that I have proof of it from my lender. I have even offered to return my books and machine to the owner so she could have them but received no response.Desired Settlement: I am not seeking financial gain, I only hope that I will not be forced to pay for such a blatant deprivation of service. The education I signed on for was never delivered, and yet I am expected to pay thousands of dollars.
