Damage done to condo ceiling due to water leak caused by employees
Royal Maids were hired to clean a second floor condo in August 2018. They were told that the water was turned off and I was told when the cleaning would take place on Monday, I told them I would have the water turned on and if the time changed to please contact me. We received a phone call from the first floor owners that water was leaking into their condo from our unit and their ceilings were stained. We contacted Royal Maids and were told that they came into the unit early and the water was off. They turned on the faucets and left them on. The drain was in and when we turned on the water in anticipation of the cleaning the faucets were still turned on and the sinks filled up and overflowed. I contacted Royal Maids and talked with Kim. I arranged to travel to Florida and meet with Kim. She told me that she had turned on the faucets and the water was off. They proceeded to clean the unit and did not turn the faucet off. She took pictures of the damaged ceiling and told me that the owner of the company (Derek) would contact me. I contacted Kim numerous times and did not hear from Derek. Kim gave me Derek's email address but it was not a good address. I. posted a message on their web page but did not hear from Derek. Kim gave me Derek's phone number and I left numerous messages for him and have never heard back from him.
