To Whom It May Concern,The previous resident, [redacted] ***, moved in on 9/10/ and the new carpet was installed on 9/8/2016.? Upon move out, there was evidence that the carpet was damaged beyond just the wear and tear.? There were areas that had bleach spots, heavy dark stains and the strong odor of cigarette smoke.? Due to these documented reasons, we had to replace the carpet.? Upon charging for the carpet, we prorated the amount of the carpet by deducting a year off of what was the actual full cost of having the carpet replaced.? Due to these reasons we were, and still are, unable to refund the previous resident’s security deposit.Thank you,Christy P [redacted] Property Manager
