The issue with the roof was a small cosmetic problem with two shingles We did go and fix it However originally when the new owner of the home asked us to warranty the roof we said we were not going to fix the problem until they paid the $balance owed for the roof That is why
they went to the Revdex.com After having thought about it I concluded it was the realtor that caused us to not be paid in full It is possible the new owners had no knowledge of the roof not being paid for in full
Responce from business owner Chad W***: Everyone who comes to my business for roof leak repair has access to my website where it is explain that we do roof repair on a time and materials basis In the initial phone conversation I explain this again Before we send our project manager
Angel M*** the customer has to read and verify that they understand this time and materials agreement and pay a $deposit to get an appointment with Angel This customer is being asked to pay for hours labor plus the materials used to repair her roof We have done nothing unreasonable or unethical on our end $labor and $material Total invoice is $ There is very little profit in roof repair
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: According to the contact written by The Portland Roofers, Angel was to come and give me the total it would cost to complete my roof job. He told me it would cost $190 more and I am now receiving an invoice for $365 more. Quoted directly from my initial $200 invoice just to get Angel to come out... "Rather than have you worry about how many hours your roof repair will take & the final price, as soon as our roofer has completed his inspection & calculations of time & materials he will explain to you what is needed & what the total cost will be." I was told my cost would be $190 beyond the $200 I had already paid and am now receiving an invoice of almost double that. When I paid the $200 I did not agree to have someone come out and tell me how much extra labor I'd be paying without specifying that was all they were including in the amount they were telling me. I paid the $200 to have them out under the agreement in their contract that they would come and tell me the remainder I'd owe then start the job. They told me $190, did the job and are now sneaking in almost double the amount. I don't agree with their practices. I agreed to their contract written by them under the terms that they would come tell me the full total due when they did the inspection, they now say that they only bid it for labor when you can clearly see in the picture I'll attach that their contract says otherwise!Sincerely,[redacted]
