This business has been a disgrace from the time I moved in. The apartment was never cleaned after the initial tenant moved out. It smells like gas! The fridge was not temping, so my groceries were soiling. Two of the four burners on the stove didn't work, as well as the oven. Carpet was dirty (and still is), electrical outlets in bedroom one, bathroom two, and the kitchen weren't working. Graffiti throughout the apartment, including a blacked out, spray-painted patio door. Kitchen sink leaking, as well as the toilet in bathroom. When you turned the shower component was on, the water still spilled from the tub. The list goes on! Well maintenance and the leasing office were both aware, as I did the initial walk through and they made note. They claimed they would fix it immediately. Well "immediately" became six months of living in these atrocities. My work schedule doesn't allow me very much wiggle room for coming to the office, because they changed their hours without notice, but I tried to stop by when I can to let them know that I had these ongoing issues. I spoke to three different employees regarding the issues, to no avail. Each of them just wrote my issues on a Post-It notes, and nothing occurred onwards. At this point, it's been months, and I'm frustrated. I finally walk in and only ask for corporate's number. This is when the manager pipes up and claims she never heard of my issues in my apartment, which is ludicrous! She says she'll get someone on it, which is the first time maintenance has shown up in months. She didn't give me corporate's number, nor did she take my information down, but she exclaimed that I should have never been moved into the unit. Maintenance comes by FINALLY, and some of the issues get resolved, with promises to come.back to fix the rest. He claimed to come back two days later at 10am. I took off work for the occasion, and of course no one shows up. So now I'm livid, and ask for corporate again, where one agent lies to me saying he doesn't have the number.
Finish the job I finally got most of the big issues resolved after SIX MONTHS of living poorly. All I ask for is compensation for the quality of living I had to experience for half my lease, as well as the countless groceries wasted from the fridge not temping.
It is our policy and procedure every apartment is cleaned before a future tenant moves in. This particular apartment was cleaned prior to move in and the tenant had an opportunity to decline or accept the apartment before taking possession of the unit. The maintenance staff made several attempts to complete work requests in this apartment but could not do due to unsupervised and unauthorized pets in the unit. After speaking with the resident we were able to set up a time for maintenance to complete work requests. The work requests have been addressed and also confirmed with the resident. The resident was also given a one time rental concession for any inconvenience caused.
Maintenance Requests Ignored, No Amenities, Mgmt Does Not Care. Months have passed and my maintenance requests have gone unanswered! The apartment is infested with roaches, mold, mildew. The pool has not been open for two summers. It's been 2 months and nothing has been fixed,I've called (to no avail); emailed (to no avail) and submitted an online request (to no avail). Why and I paying rent? If I break my lease I have to pay, it' simply not fair, I have rights as a tenant, not just to pay rent. Management is rude, don't care and are unprofessional. I want action and answers ASAP!!!!!
I want my doors fixed, I want the toilet handle in the MASTER BEDROOM FIXED, I NEED A NEW A FILER FOR MY A/C, NEED A NEW REFRIGERATOR THAT ACTUALLY MAKE ICE. THE FLOOR IN MY KITCHEN NEED TO BE REPLACED.
The Park at Hairston addresses the complaint as follows: Maintenance issues are addressed in a timely manner in order of receipt in accordance with any emergency situation being abated/completed first. All issues noted within the confines of this complaint have been repaired with the exception of the doors.
