The Original Footwear

I purchased a total of four pair of their SWAT side, zip steel toe boots, over three years. I was generally satisfied until my last pair became unglued at the toe of the right boot after only six months. I still had the packing slip with date of purchase. They refused the warranty and claimed it was normal wear and tear. I had already proven myself to be a repeat customer, but will now attempt to spread the word the disloyalty they showed to me.

Review: I purchased a pair of Altama boots from altama.com, they arrived, but didn't fit. I emailed their customer service and requested what they call an "RA number". This means return authorization number and they do not accept returns without one. I was granted an RA number and packaged the boots as directed and returned them to the address they gave me. On my return sheet, I requested an exchange for a different pair. I haven't heard from them since. I have been calling, leaving phone messages, and emailing for the better part of a year now and have not been contacted by anyone. I have not received a refund nor exchange. Before I initially purchased the boots I ultimately sent back, I emailed customer service a couple of times with questions about them, both of which were promptly answered. Yet, somehow now, through phone or email, I cannot contact anyone in the company to ask about my return. I was at a loss for options and didn't know what to do about my situation other than continue to try to contact the company, until someone brought to my knowledge that I can file a complaint with the Revdex.com. I hope this allows me to get to the bottom of this and finally get this problem rectified.Desired Settlement: I would appreciate either a refund or exchange for a different pair of boots. As frustrating as this whole situation is, I have yet to find a pair of boots that came close to the pair of Altama boots that I had worn for the better part of a decade. The quality was top notch, which is the only reason I would be willing to pay $130 for a pair of boots. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a third party retailer, so if they can't communicate a reasonable exchange with me, I want my money back.
