Review: I incurred a physician’s bill on 3/**/2015 for 157.99, I paid the bill on 4/**/2015 in response to the first mailed statement dated 4/*/2015 (I have documentation if needed). I have been repeatedly harassed by the company with unpaid bills. There have been 3 bills sent after I paid the bill saying it is past-due and concerned it will affect my credit report which has caused endless distress. Many hours of my time have been wasted on the telephone to no avail, their customer service department is non-existent and the bills keep coming. I have spent an hour on the phone some days and still was not able to speak to a supervisor or someone who knows what is going on.
Refer to various forums such as [redacted] regarding numerous issues from other consumers around this same issue. This company needs to be stopped or simply cease business practices how they are currently conducting them.
I cannot continue to defend myself against this error on their end, it is abundantly time consuming. I demand remedial action to be taken in the form of that described below.Desired Settlement: Cease all contact and delete all of my information from their system. They will not need it, I will never visit Mount Sinai again.
Review: I had surgery at Philips Ambulatory Care Center in October 2014. In early 2015, I paid my bill of over $1,000. Months later, there was a significant adjustment from my insurance company due to a mistake on their part, which accounted for more than half of that payment. I called Mount Sinai billing and was told an adjustment would be made in 4-6 weeks. That amount of time passed and I followed up multiple times and was told the adjustment was pending. It has now been months and I have not seen this money. I would like a refund as soon as possible.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the overpayment as soon as possible.
Review: I entered into a research study in which I was to participate but unfortunately had been found to be ineligible (legitimate medical excuse). The date was April [redacted],2014. The studies [redacted] (named [redacted]) had paid me for the initial prequalifying fee but to date has not paid for a blood draw and other Q& A prerequisites. The amount totals $60.00. I have called
and spoken with [redacted] once a week inquiring about payment. He legitimizes non payment with an excuse relative to accounting technicalities. My last conversation with him was on 7/**. The same recourse transpired.Desired Settlement: Receipt of $60.00.

Review: I had surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital. To prepare for surgery, they had me disrobe and sign a paper releasing them from accountability if they should lose any of my possessions. After that, just before being taking in to the operating room, they noticed that I was wearing jewelry and told me I had to take it off. The following day at home I realized I'd never received my jewelry back. I called their customer service and they said because I had not called on the day I'd lost the jewelry, there was nothing they could do. I explained that the day of surgery I was recovering from the [redacted] and surgery and hadn't noticed.Desired Settlement: The value of the jewelry was around $500.

Review: At the beginning of April 2015 I received a bill for my responsibility for a medical procedure I had at Mt. Sinai for $1394.03. I have made payments on 4/*, 4/**, 5/** and 6/* totaling $530.03. My balance is $864.00. I plan to continue to pay off this bill. However, on 6/** I received a statement in the mail dated 6/* that says if I don't pay my balance in full within 10 days of the notice, they will send my account to an attorney or a collection agency. The balance on the "FINAL NOTICE" is incorrect at $964.03 and does not reflect a payment I made of $100.03
1) I received the notice at the end of the 10 day period, this is unfair.
2) It is insulting to receive a "FINAL NOTICE" when I have been making regular and large payments considering my income.
I call and leave messages as suggested and included notes to the company in the space provided online and never hear anything back other than this "FINAL NOTICE"Desired Settlement: Please stop with the aggressive collection practices. I have been making payments and any attempt to escalate this matter may result in further action from me to protect my interests.
Review: Hello and thank you for reviewing my complaint.
My name is [redacted] and I am the father of [redacted].
On 6/**/14 we took my daughter to the Emergency Room at Mt Sinai in Manhattan to treat a cough.
We brought here here because the hospital is in our Cigna insurance network.
We checked in and provided our insurance information.
My daughter was treated by 2 nurses and 2 doctors.
One of these doctors was not covered by our insurance.
We received a bill for the full price, $348, for the one doctor ([redacted]) who was not covered by our insurance.
This is an unfair procedure by this hospital and it only hurts patients (consumers).
Are we supposed to interview the doctors at the ER before they see our daughter to make sure they're on our insurance plan?
The hospital and insurance companies seem to consider this as a common occurrence and it's simply not right.
Please help. [redacted]Desired Settlement: We would like this charge removed because the hospital had our insurance information and still allowed a Dr not within our network to see our daughter.
This Doctor was the final person to visit us at the hospital and did not perform any procedures other than reviewing a chart.
Short of this... it is likely this is a bigger issue impacting thousands of consumers / patients -- and we really have no one to turn to other than lawyers.
This could be big and we could really use someone legitimate on our side of this matter.
Thank you. [redacted]
