The Mobile Health Doc

I had suffered from chronic foot pain for over 6 years. Neurologists first said it was idiopathic neuropathy (all blood labs came back negative, same with nerve conductive studies). They prescribed medications that threatened my career. A second set of neurologists said it was a pinched nerve in my back (although the MRI was questionable). Again, same prescriptions. Each visit was less than ten minutes multiple times over several years. It was truly frustrating. The pain was getting worse and so were the feelings of helplessness and borderline depression due to the chronic pain. Upon meeting Dr. W, she listened to my frustrations and list of symptoms, and quickly pulled up a reference to Morton's Neuroma (a condition mostly known only to podiatrists). She told me to stop seeing neurologists and go directly to a podiatrist. Multiple ultrasounds and MRI's all showed negative for neuroma, but Dr. W and two podiatrists agreed it likely the cause. I just got out of surgery today, where they pulled two giant neuromas out of my feet. The horrible chronic shooting pains stopped immediately.
Dr. W's specialty is her wide breadth of medical knowledge (contrary to most providers who only specialize in one field). This allows her to think outside the traditional medical diagnosis box. Her expertise in pain management helps isolate the problem, even when other doctors seem spring loaded to rubber-stamp your condition based on their respective field. 6 years of misery finally ceased due to Dr. W's advice. It was truly life-changing. Thank you!
