The Metrolina Landscape Company

While living in another state and planning a new home north of Charlotte, worst mistake we made by far was trusting Metrolina for landscaping. We wasted well over $12,000 on plantings planned and executed by them. Had to replace all front and backyard plantings; 100% of non-evergreens were placed incorrectly for NC sun/shade mix, and many were also very poor quality. Extensive drip system has never worked, replacing that now as well. Irrigation system overall difficult to use. Rocks used to create a slope where they'd initially just left a 2+ foot drop-off (as if that was a good idea--think visitors falling over the edge. They then put a very thin layer of soil over the rocks and stuck plants in; looked good when we signed on the house, but of course nothing grew there. Pergola and pavers--likely done by subs--were well done, and most (not all) evergreens were OK. Overall costs were also high, had we known. Products bought since at other nurseries have thrived, but at huge loss of time and money to us.

Damage to siding on house on 9/30/16, company stated they would pay for damage and have paid for 1/2 and are no longer responding to calls or texts
Hired Metrolina to aerate the lawn. They came on 9/30/16 but hit the house. The employee operating the machine denied it but there was siding on the lawn. Another employee validated he had hit the house and a supervisor would come to the house. Supervisor David J came out on the same day 9/30/16 and said they'd pay for all the damage. To this point they only paid for the siding to be replaced which was on 2/24/17 and cost $205.00. I submitted the invoice on 5/22/17 for the cost of the siding to be painted $915.00 they have been unresponsive. David came out once and was caught on camera on my property but didn't announce he was coming nor made contact but scared my wife as she saw someone on the property. He stated he was in the area looking at other houses that also needed repair. I have spoken to one employee after this and sent several messages to David asking for an update and now never get response. At the time of the damage our house was less than 3 months old, as we purchased the house on 7/14/16. It's been almost a year and we want it fixed ASAP as we've waited more than long enough. My next step will be to contact an attorney.
