Moved in July 28, 2019 we were told we would get $300 gift card. We signed year lease and renewed for the following year. Moved out Jan 2020, new tenant moved in Feb 2020 I paid rent for Jan 2020. I called office to get amount to pay for breaking lease for Feb. Received email I am still responsible for entire 2 year lease. In the State of Texas Can a rental property get paid from 2 different tenants.
The person that was moved into their unit was an emergency transfer. Meaning someone that already held a lease with us was moved into the bedroom for emergency reasons. It was not someone that was taking over the outgoing residents lease. In regards to next year's lease, the resident is responsible for fulfilling or finding someone to take over their lease. I can attach the residents lease if requested
