This past weekend I ordered 6 lobsters from the Lobster Pound for a birthday celebration for my Dad. I brought the lobsters home and kept them on ice provided by the Lobster Pound, and the lobsters died in less than an hour. We called the Lobster Pound to express our disappoint, and the manager let us know that they were very sorry, and that he could exchange them for me, but that the lobsters could technically still be eaten, even though this is completely inaccurate information, and it is very dangerous to eat lobsters that have died. After driving back to the Lobster Pound with the lobsters in hand, the manager had somehow changed his mind in the 10 minutes that it took for me to get there, and refused to help me. He started interrogating me on every step that I had taken since I had picked up the lobsters, and insisted that it was my fault that the lobsters had died, even though I had stored them on ice provided to me by this place. He continuously insisted that they were perfectly acceptable to eat and would no longer help me, even after having me drive back with the lobsters. Since it is a health risk to eat dead lobsters, despite what the manager was insisting, I left the lobsters on the front step of the restaurant. This place has horrible customer service and sold us sick lobsters that died within less than an hour of picking them up.
The customer has been contacted and the issue was resolved to the customer’s satisfaction. Thank you.
