Without violating HIPAA and getting into specifics regarding a specific patient, I would like to offer an answerWe follow CMS guidelines for any and all transportsOur crews are well trained in the law of medical necessityWe are very restricted with what types of transport Medicaid and Medicare
allowsI have attached the local coverage determination, the law for billing, for your reviewIf a patient doesn't strictly meet all the criteria under "non-emergency", then we cannot legally take the patientThe reason we would not take a patient would strictly be based on these guidelinesUnfortunately, sometimes doctor's information doesn't support enough our medical necessity; and sometimes we are given incomplete information prior to our first transportThis leaves us in a position where we need to cease service to the patient

I am rejecting this response because: I have spoken with Natalie who handles all complaints in regards to [redacted] Transportation’s. She says Mile High Ambulance has failed to respond to her emails. What I want are the names of the techs involved. I want the State of Colorado to revoke their certifications for making malicious and false diagnoses of patients. If there is no fault on your companies behalf, why is [redacted] handling this otherwise? Thank you
