The Hill

Review: My group and I were having an event at the Hill, I placed an order for a $20 plate of colossal chicken wings well before the kitchen closed. I placed a $20 bill on the table and my money was collected by what seemed to be a busboy since there was no active waitstaff working at the time. When I brought up the issue much later in the night as we were leaving, the bartender ran up and verbatim said "well you tried to steal a drink for your friend so I already think you're a thief" at that point I engaged in a verbal altercation with the bartender and was asked to leave which I promptly and without complaint did. Once outside I spoke to a manager of the establishment who instead of acknowledging the issue, just said there was nothing he could do. I continued to plead my case and was asked for a receipt, which I could not procure seeing as to how I never received one. In my defense, we bought probably upwards of a hundred different drinks and other items and received zero receipts for them as well. In a casual sports bar setting you don't expect to get a receipt for every purchase you make, and you definitely don't expect to need it to prove a purchase. We patronized the bar with several hundred dollars in business that night, with no intention of dodging payment for any of our items and we were harassed as we left.Desired Settlement: A refund of a $20 bill.
