Review: In 1997 I attended a Massage Tech class at Healing Hands. At the end of the course I had a balance due of approximately $200 that had to be paid in order for me to receive my official transcripts. I paid the balance in cash, received my transcripts, and went on to get my license in the City of San Diego. This is the only official Massage course I have ever taken, therefore it is the only way I have ever gotten a license. Years later I found that Healing Hands had reported a balance to the credit bureaus. It took a trip to the office with a copy of my license to prove to them that I had paid the balance. I was assured that it would not be a problem again. It is 2013 and once again Healing Hands is reporting a balance, has sent me to collections, and is refusing to see my license as proof. They are also refusing to give me an official copy of my transcripts. I can't believe I am having to deal with this again...16 years later.Desired Settlement: I want Healing Hands to remove all negative reports from all three credit bureaus, to cease collection actions, and to provide me with a copy of my official transcripts. I also want them to remove my name from their books and roster so that this never happen again.

Dear Revdex.com,
The student
attended Healing Hands School of Holistic Health Massage Technician class from May
13, 1997 to August 5, 2010. She claims
that she paid off her balance of $288 on July 29, 1997, in cash. According to our records, she actually paid
for her balance with a check (check # [redacted]).
As a result of this payment, we released her transcripts and certificate
to her. However, the check bounced due
to “insufficient funds”, and therefore, the balance was not paid. As of today, the student has only made a
partial payment toward her balance in December 2010.
