Mr. [redacted] I truly apologize for this inconvenience. Per our binding contractual agreement, signed by both you and Mrs. [redacted] prior to the start of care, under Regulations and Fees (page 1), Line Item #3 says,"The first two weeks of care will consist of a trial period in which either... party may cancel at anytime, however no money will be refunded." In regards to the amount paid in advance, the contract also states under the section titled Termination (page 6) that parents must pay a deposit for at least a week in advance. "...that advanced payment will serve as the last payment for the final week of your child(ren)'s care." This was put in place because of previous situations where parents did not pay. The deposit allows for guaranteed payment of services and a peace of mind for parents who don't have to worry about paying for the final week of care. I offered to honor a final week's worth of care to your children, given that you paid a week in advance, which you and Mrs. [redacted] respectfully declined. Again, I apologize for this inconvenience and wish you the best of luck in your search for care. Sincerely, [redacted] The Golden Stars Child Care
