Review: We put a deposit off $425.00 in Feb. for blocking rooms and to reserve a room for a rehearsal dinner on June 5th. Five of our guests reserved rooms and then we released the last room. Less than 2 weeks before the dinner and 10 days after I gave the final head count, I was told I had to purchase wine from the venue because of the legal issues, originally I have an e-mail dated in February stating that I could bring my own wine and pay a corkage fee. I am from out of state so I asked that they get back to me on the legal issues and I waited 3 days with no response from the inn. I called on a Weds, a week and a day before the event. I was treated very rudely by the owner, Mr [redacted]. It appeared like he did not want to do business with us. We sent another e-mail to the inn to try to reset and continue on with our event. We received an e-mail in return with more demands from the inn. At that point we realized that we would be unable to have the event at their venue. We told the guests that had reserved rooms and everyone cancelled the rooms well within the cancellation policy. I also cancelled the dinner. According to a e-mail if we cancelled within 30 days of the event we would forfeit a deposit of $250.00. I have requested a refund of $175.00 of our $425 deposit and as of this date we have not received our refund. This was a terrible experience and I have never been treated this way before.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $175.00 from The Georgian Inn.
