Purchased 2 power recliners made or distributed by *** located in *** for $850 each on 2/3/2020. Picked up on 3/2/2020. Assisted by employees ***. and manager ***. After about 1 to 2 weeks we noticed an odd odor coming from the recliners (somewhat like a cross between a synthetic paint odor and a barn yard and not like leather at all)
and contacted *** the store manager. He referred us to a gentleman named *** and told us this is the person that handles product issues. After speaking with *** he Informed us that store policy didn't allow for a full refund but did allow for a 15 to 20% restocking fee (which in this case amounted to approx.$220) and a store credit would be issued for the remaining balance. We were quite upset with this outcome and hoped that the store would be more empathetic given that the product they are selling is defective. I myself have contracted a case of *** on the scalp, face neck areas that has yet to clear up. We feel after this experience and somewhat demeaning treatment that the only respectful recourse should be a full refund. We do not want a store credit and hand them $220 of our now slim fixed-income.
