The Event Parlor

Sunday August 5th - The Event Parlor - CEO Erika G did not provide the services she said she would for a baby shower we had a a private venue. We had a contract with Erika G. Her services were to include providing some of the decorations and setting them up along with hosting the baby shower. Erika G was to be the host and was to be there herself for the entire baby shower. She left at 1:30pm and left us in the hands of someone she say's was our host, however, this person had not a clue about running a baby shower. That person asked me at every turn what to do next. This is exactly why we hired Erika G so that we would not have to do any of this. The baby shower start time was 1pm. We paid in advance a total of $720 for Erika G's services. At 1pm I walked into a mess at the front door of the venue. Some of my guest had arrived. Erika G was in the process and in slow motion decoration a candy table. 3 lemonade stations were still not decorated. Me and my guest including my daughter who was 9 mos pregnant had to help get it set up. My pregnant daughter was at the venue until 2pm trying to help. After the event, I contact Erika via email to let her know that we were not pleased with her services and asked for a refund of half of the $720. I gave her my address and how I would like to receive payment money order or cashier check. She agreed to the refund and first said she needed 2 weeks. Never received the refund. I received another email from Erika G saying she wanted to update me on the status of the refund on 8/31/18. In the email she stated that I would be receiving the cashier check in the amount of $374.40. Allow 7 to 10 business days for arrival. Today is the 10th business day - no refund.
