On 5/19/2016, about 10:30 a.m., I took my small dog to have her nails trimmed. The owner trimmed her back nails and proceeded to trim front. She was very rude to me about how I held the dog while she trimmed, and I calmly let her know that rudeness was unnecessary, and that I will hold the dog however she instructs me. Rather than apologizing for her previous tone, she then screamed out (3 witnesses/2 of which were customers), that "I'm tired of customers", and "get the hell out of my store"; "take your business elsewhere". The witnesses stood there with their mouths hanging opened in shock. As I proceeded to say something, she threatened to call the police (I honestly hadn't done a thing wrong). I told her to go ahead and call the police (why do we do that?). She did not use any profanity. As I was leaving the screaming continued. I don't know if the other 2 customers stayed or not. She hollered at me at the top of her lungs. I'm a calm person, good citizen, always help others, always a friend, a voter, a veteran, a pretty good guy. In fact, I had even told her previously that I'd take advantage of her "house call" service when it started because I believe in helping small businesses. Her blow-up was totally un-called-for, over the top, extreme, and threatening. I was shocked and caught unprepared by it. I can't get it out of my head that she would say "I'm tired of customers". We are her bread and butter (as they say). I was willing to be a long-term (permanent) customer before today. It's like something snapped in her, as she was screaming at the top of her lungs. I think her blow-up had nothing to do with me, but something just snapped in her - I just happened to be the one there when it happened. I'm a bit old fashioned about customer service, and when warranted (deserved), I'm a loyal customer. This had only been my 2nd visit to this business - the first visit was positive and pleasant, so I didn't expect this. Now neighbors are telling me that the owner has a bit of a reputation for being "psycho", or nasty to people (sigh). On a positive note, the quality of their work is good, and the prices are fair. It's too bad they don't value their customers.
