We purchased a home from Commadore in 2016. At that time we had so many things that needed attention from the service department and the place we actually bought the home from. ( ***). One of the main problems at that time was the floor in the kitchen. We told them about it while it was under warranty. The joices were coming up in the floor. We are still trying to resolve this issue. Uneven and sloping in between them. The co. We bought it from has tried to fix it but only made it worst. They tried 3 or 4 times. Getting nowhere, we contacted our lawyer service from General motors. Which in turn sent out a letter. That got their attention enough to get the flooring service out from Commadore. He looked around and said thank you and left. We then got an email through our lawyer that said for us to get a contractor we trusted in our area to give an estimate. And look for new flooring since they no longer had the vinyl in our home. They said "to look for a laminate flooring". Only to cover the kitchen, dining room and hall way.
We live in a very rural area. The nearest cities with like *** are over an hour away. So in order to pick out flooring we only have a few places to go to look. They have no competition. So yes they are higher priced. I picked out a vinyl laminate flooring. We have hickory cabinets, so finding something that would go was not easy.
We did find a contractor to come and give us an estimate. Very few to pick from because they have big beautiful homes on Lake Michigan going up. No one wanted to even look. Again no competition. So are expensive to hire. And it is such a small job.
So we sent out the estimates to Commadore. Of course they didn't agree with our contractor who said the whole floor underneath the house was bad. Carpet covering it up on the foor in the rest of the house. Alsothey didnt want to do all of our vinyl floors. So it would leave old vinyl and then put the new , different vinyl just in certain areas. That's not how the home looked as a model.2 different colors of vinyl in the house that meet each other and would have to have a piece of stripping in between. Which isn't how the model we looked at had.
As you can see im very upset about this!

T
It appears the consumer is sending us a letter directly and we will work this out between us based on the information in that. There is no further reason to commicate through the Revdex.com. We are considering this matter closed.
Thank you
I am rejecting this response because: we have not resolved the issue. I'm in the process of writing the company a letter. In response to the email I received from the company.

I did receive your email. I was just a little confused on your perspective of what's been going on. Though the lawyer the message said " get a contractor we trusted in and a estimate for him and the flooring". I don't live in a place that I can just go down the street and go into ***. We are an hour or more in either direction. So when I have sent you an estimate it has been too much. I don't know if you received the last message from my lawyer. I ask him to send a letter telling you that I will consider just having my kitchenfloor fixed, but that when getting flooring I wanted it all to have it all through the house where the old vinyl is. I didn't pay for the flooring to be different in my home. We also paid to have vinyl in the entrance of the front door. Extended to the dining room. I have sent you the estimate from the flooring company. Both one that covers all vinyl being replaced, and one with just the kitchen dining room and hall way. They all butt up to one another. I Am sorry but I can't accept my flooring not being the same. That is not what I paid for! My contractor is being very generous for doing this job for us. This contractor builds big beautiful homes on Lake Michigan.
I hope we can get this settled as it has been almost 2 years.. if I missed any thing please let me know. I'll be sending the contractor's last estimate. And like I said you already have the flooring estimate.

*I’m emailing in response to a Revdex.com complaint forwarded to Commodore Homes. We are somewhat surprised at that avenue taken as we are attempting to communicate with you and get these repairs taken care of. Commodore Homes Service Manager made a trip specifically to the home to investigate this concerns (complaint limited to the floor near the island cabinet only, not throughout the home), even after it was found to be a dealer issue, we are staying involved to make sure this is resolved properly. Our request for you to enlist a local contractor was based on an assumption that you already had a relationship with someone local and that that method would be your preference and expedite things. Based on your comments in the *** and the quote given showing the contractor contacted and his lack of knowledge on our homes, that is not the case.
At this time, we will be submitting a work order to our Contractor in Michigan to make the necessary repairs to the area of floor in concern. While there he will inspect the floors throughout to insure that there are no other areas affected, although I believe the Service Manager had already done that, we will check again. Once that is repaired either he or a local source if preferred can work on the floor covering replacement if deemed needed after the repairs. He is not available until January, but he will be in contact to work a specific date out with you directly. We do request that you are at the home at the time of repairs, so if there are any winter travel plans, please keep us posted so we can work around that.
At this time if you could rescind the complaint with the Revdex.com that would be appreciated as we are not backing out of our assistance, that quote was well out of line based on what needs to be repaired and we asked for another try.
Thank you for your time, please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.
