I would like to start off by apologizing for our late responseOur former Director of Nursing, who resigned last week, had assured me that a response was sent to youWhen received a second letter, realized that better respond myself.After speaking to the concerned family member, she can attest
that we did meet with her a few times to resolve her mother's medication issueConcerns were addressed and getting better, but were still not perfect according to our findingsAt this time, our nursing team and met with our pharmacy to further improve the situationOnce again, improvement was noticedAfter additional concerns, we began to only allow our nurses to administer certain medications to certain residentsThis seemed to have resolved the problem and we have not heard of any other concernsWhen we notice problems here at the Charleston, we do address them immediatelyif we find out that our staff does not address them, than we act accordingly with our staff and resolve the issue concerning our residentsAlso, since March of 2016, we have regular monthly meetings with all of our residents about any concerns as well as ourstaff being very open and visible
