I put down a deposit for a rehearsal dinner for a wedding for $250. The event was to be held 7/10/20, today (at the time I am writing this complaint). The event planner at this business assured me, due to Covid 19 concerns, the deposit would be refunded. This is her response -

After a few months, and several emails, the business has not completed the refund. In addition, according to their website, the business has now closed permanently. I have record in an email that this money would be refunded (noted above) and have a paper trail of the ensuing following. I am very disappointed with the follow up of the general manager. The event planner, has been great in communicating, but unfortunately the GM has not made any action to assure me there will be a refund.
I recently received notification of customer concern ID: *** from the Revdex.com. This email is in response to address the issue presented. After reviewing our communication with the guest I am regretful to understand that there was a mistake within our communication as a team and we failed to get the customer their prompt refund for their canceled event. I take ownership of this mistake as the businesses General Manager and hope my mistake does not reflect poorly on the owners of the business whom have always strived to provide exceptional customer service. Please extend my apologies to these individuals. We will provide a refund in the form of a check and mail immediately to the address provided on the concern letter. We are very sorry to hear of the impact of the pandemic on your business and those that have been adversely impacted. It is very sad. However, this was beyond frustrating. We look forward to receiving our refund. We applaud the efforts of the Revdex.com to make this happen.
